Those attending Sundance, Slamdance and the other film festivals in Park City, Utah who are fans and supporters of gay/lesbian/queer film now have a hip and happening place to congregate. THE QUEER LOUNGE will be located in the Gateway Center just off Main Street from January 16th to 24th, 2004. The Queer Lounge is open from 10a.m. to 6 p.m. with special programs at various hours.

The Queer Lounge is a hospitality suite and networking hub where guests (queer or straight) can find out information about queer films playing at the concurrent festivals, check their email, grab a free cup of coffee, view trailers of festival films, attend fantastic panel discussions or just relax on our comfy couches and chairs. Each afternoon, The Queer Lounge will hold networking mixers. There is no admission fee to the Lounge. At night, The Queer Lounge will hold VIP events. The Queer Lounge is:

  • A HOSPITALITY SUITE & NETWORKING HUB for queer and queer-friendly film professionals and film enthusiasts.
  • A ONE-STOP SHOP FOR INFORMATION about queer films playing at Sundance, Slamdance, Slamdunk, etc. in order to benefit the queer-film market
  • A LEGACY, a format for future years of The Queer Lounge at the Park City Film Festival and even other national and international film festivals, e.g. The Queer Lounge at Cannes.

  • The Queer Lounge is a 501(c)3, non-profit project of Out in Television & Film and is an affiliate of the GLBT Community Center of Utah.  It is not affiliated with the Park City film festivals (Sundance, Slamdance, No Dance, etc).
